  • The Realistic 12-719, sold by Radio Shack was made in the Philippines. It uses two transistors ( 2SC 192 3-0 and 2SC 192 3-B also written as 2SC1923) plus the IC LM1868 plus 4 diodes.

    Realistic 12-719 featured in the catalog Radio Shack 1987 under the slogan "On-The-go" listening - portable radios. It has a stylish aluminium trom, built-in AFC-FM, high/low tone switch, rotary tuning and volume controls, telescoping FM antenna, earphone for private listening. Pocket radio, wrist strap. FM: 88 - 108 MHz, AM: 520 - 1.620 kHz, made in South Korea for Tandy.

    Information by member Günther Stabe: It is a superhet with an integrated FM quadrature demodulator and normal AM demodulator. AM 5 tuned circuits, FM 7 tuned circuits of them are 2 variable. FM has a broadband circuit, 2 variable, 2 normal IF filters and the CF1 as ceramic double filter.
