    BC-AM & VHF 147 - 175 MHz (AM), ext. DC in, earphones socket.  It appears that the differences are that the 12-629 is gray with a fold-down handle and the 12-629A is black or blue with a press-down handle.

    This radio first appeared in the 1970 Radio Shack annual catalog and was offered until the 1977 annual catalog.
