  • According to the “Radio Technician”, July 1939, the 54PE chassis was Australia’s first example of diode-pentode reflexing. The 2B7 functions as a second stage IF amplifier, detector & audio amplifier. The reflexing is achieved by feeding the audio across a load resistor, R7, which is placed in the grid return. In the anode circuit R11 is bypassed by a small capacitor and serves as the audio load.
