Information from Alan Douglas for this model: "According to the "Red Book", the RCA service manual 1931/32, this RCA model R72 was announced June 3, 1932 with a list price of $ 69.50. Date of sample shipment was June 8, 1932 and first stock shipment was June 10, 1932. This model was produced 2498 times. On June 21, the list price wtnt up to $ 72.95. The inventory was exhausted in September 1932 and R72 was replaced with R75."
