- Notes
- Battery setup:
When the Radiola Balanced Amplifier is used with the Radiola III Receiver, a common "A"battery for both units is recommended. For lighting the filaments use five 1.5 Volt Dry Cells connected in parallel.
Note: A two-volt storage battery may be used if desired.
When the Radiola Balanced Amplifier is used with the Radiola III Receiver, a common "B"battery for both units is recommended.
As the receiver uses 45 volts of "B" battery, and the Amplifier requires 90 volts of "B" battery, two additional 22.5 volt blocks (or one 45 volt block) will be required for the units when used in combination.
For Grid bias one 4.5 volt Dry Cell is required as "C" battery.
Push-pull output.
The WD11 were often replaced by UX199, using adaptors. 60 mA from 3 V made only 0.18 W per UX199, while the WD11 drew 0.25 A from a 1.5 V battery = 0.375 W, practically twice as much. The price was the same: 6.50$.
