  • The RCA model RE81 has a disc recording and playing automatic phonograph and is a 6 legged stretcher base low-boy console. The phonograph can play 78s and 33 1/3 rpm records! It has class B amplification. Information from Alan Douglas for this model: "According to the "Red Book", the RCA service manual 1931/32, this RCA model RE81 was announced September 9, 1932 with a list price of $ 178. Date of sample shipment was at announcement and also the first stock shipment. This model was produced 2597 times."
