  • The brand name Xuri 旭日 is simplified Chinese for "The rising Sun". According to a Chinese text, in 1964, Chengdu Radio Instrument Factory (formerly: Chengdu radio factory) made a small batch of transistor radios. It followed 1965 with a test radio CY-1 as an eight transistor two band portable pocket radio. In 1969 the manufacturer has developed the CY-401 and made it until 1974.
