  • Models 1922,1932,1982,1992 are similar to Colonial Model 659 page 5-45. Changes:1) 1A2 ballast tube instead of similar 30 ballast tube. 2) IF peak 175KC instead of 480KC. 3) 8 M.F.D. screen filter condenser instead of 6 M.F.D. The Silvertone model 1934 has a 3 gang tuning condenser but no RF stage. According to the Sears catalog #172, Spring & Summer 1936, page 545, it operates from a single 6 volt storage battery. The model 1936 receives long waves "the new weather band" 220 to 400 kHz, broadcast 545 to 1700 kHz, short wave 1670 to 5250 kHz and short wave "foreign" 5.2 to 15.5 MHz. Oscillator is tube 230, mixer is tube 951.
