This Sears Silvertone 1450 is the superhet with the old chassis, having the knobs in a "v" (triangle, top down), 3 tubes 35. The design of this old chassis was changed from a cathode mixer to a grid mixer.

See this special text about first Silvertone superhets. Some of these Silvertone radios (1320, 1324, 1326 with X) were available with a later chassis with knobs arranged in a straight line, with two tubes 35 only.
