  • This Sears Silvertone 1450 is the superhet with the old chassis, having the knobs in a "v" (triangle, top down), 3 tubes 35. The design of this old chassis was changed from a cathode mixer to a grid mixer.

    The Sears book "Service information 1928 thru 1936" shows on page 186 the same schematic for the models 1320, 1322, 1324 and 1450. See this special text about first Silvertone superhets. Some of these Silvertone radios (1320, 1324, 1326 with X) were available with a later chassis with knobs arranged in a straight line, with two tubes 35 only.
