  • Notes
  • The Sears Silvertone 1744 is a battery operated 5 tube BC band receiver. Uses ballast tube type 52.

The chassis and schematic used in this model is also used in models 1711A, 1745, 1852, 1853 and 7090A. Riders Sears 5-5, 6 schematic is for model 1711A but Sears Silvertone Service Manual 1928 thru 1936 confirms that models 1711A and 1744 use the same schematic, thus Riders schematic is valid for this model.

See details and summaries about Sears catalogs etc. This model was manufactured for Sears by Colonial Radio Corp., Buffalo, NY (Sears Manufacturer Source Number Code 101).
