  • The Sears Silvertone 7147 is a battery operated 5 tube BC and SW band receiver. Uses ballast tube 30.  Riders states a 480kHz IF for model 1850 but Sears Silvertone Service Manual 1928 thru 1936 states 175kHz IF.

    Band Frequency Ranges are as follows:
    BC Band.............545-1760kHz
    SW Band............6.0-15.0MHz

    Chassis and schematic used in this model also used in models 1850, 1850A, 1851, 1862, 1868, 1868A, 1870, 1921 and 1931, with some models combining the power switch with the tone control and thus having 4 knobs instead of 5.
