The Sears Silvertone 4228 is a battery operated 13 transistor portable AM/FM receiver. AM band frequency tuning range is 532-1630kHz. FM band frequency tuning range is 88-108MHz. Uses Qty(8) 1.5V "D" type batteries. Has push-pull output stage and earphone jack that disconnects the speaker for private listening. Also has tuner output jack. Cabinet is charcoal with metallic grille and blue dial area. Both AM and FM have RF gain stage.
