  • The Silvertone Phonograph was sold in two versions: 46D 4991 is with spring wound motor and costs $ 22.75 and the 46D 4992 is with electric motor and cost was $ 29.50. Both are portables, but the one with electric moter needs to be plugged into AC line socket. The sets are covered with Du Pont dark maroon, richly embossed Fabrikoid. They have a record holder for 12 records. They have a pick-up to be used with an AC all-electric radio only.
