This 1925 Silvertone WLS Horn Speaker Model 1 is composed of what is commonly known as "Pot Metal" although there are other models composed of both Pot metal and Bakelite.
The driver measures a resistance of 1450 Ohms.
The bell (made of bakelite) measures 13 inch diameter. The base (Made from cast aluminum) measure 7 inch diameter and the hieght is 21.5 inches.
Shipping wieght was 10 pounds in the original advertisement.
Output is a solid 1450 ohms which is sensitive enough to be used with a single stage amplifier.
Sold by Sears, Roebuck and company in Chicago, Illinois, USA, the "WLS" stands for "Worlds Largest Store" which in fact it may have been at the time.
