  • Annotazioni
  • After World War 2 Japan soon became the worlds largest exporter of lighters - simple technology, easy to ship in large amounts and always in demand worldwide. Another big industry branch is the electronics industry which brought us loads of interesting and well made radios and other gadgets.

Somewhere in the middle or late seventies the miniaturization was good enough to fit a complete AM radio into a casual pocket lighter. And this is what SHS - one of the countless smaller Japanese lighter manufacturers - did for the SEL-300. Due to the built-in antenna within the metal case, the rather cheap earphone and the nature of AM radio this was usually not the biggest pleasure to listen to, but definitely a small marvel of miniaturization.
