  • The Solartron CD 513 was a high-sensitivity, valve-based laboratory oscilloscope introduced in the mid-1950s by Solartron Electronic Group Ltd.  Designed for precise low-level measurements, it featured an exceptional vertical bandwidth of DC to 10 MHz and a high maximum gain, making it a reliable workhorse for scientific research and telecommunications development before the transition to solid-state instrumentation.

    • Three vertical amplification ranges, including an AC preamplifier.
      • Sensitivity of 10 V/cm for DC and AC voltages up to 10 MHz.
      • ​Sensitivity of 100 mV/cm for DC and AC voltages up to 5 MHz.
      •  Sensitivity of 1 mV/cm from 10 Hz to 100 kHz.
    • Three horizontal amplification ranges with a sensitivity of 10 V/cm for DC and AC voltages up to 5.5 MHz.
    • A continuously variable time axis from 0.1 µsec/cm to 100 msec/cm with horizontal amplitude extension up to fivefold via a four-position control.
    • Time axis from 1 Hz to 4 MHz.
    • Internal and external synchronization.
