  • The Sonar Mono-Bander 40 is a single-band transceiver with 180 watts PEP and 160 watts CW, covering the 40 meter band.

    The Sonar Mono-Bander was available in the following individual amateur band frequencies: 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meters. It was also available for any commercial frequecies that fell between the 10 and 80 meter bands. The units were marked on the front panel as "Mono-Bander 20" or "Mono-Bander 80" depending on the band it covered.  Advertising from QST (February 1963 page 135) shows a unit marked, "Mono-Bander 75."
