The Sony HTC-D209 is a combination Compact Disc Player and Dual Cassette Deck unit. It was manufactured in Japan around 1993–1994 as the central source player module for the Sony LBT-D209 / LBT-D209CD and LBT-A27CD Midi Hi-Fi Stereo Systems.
The HTC-D209 does not operate as a standalone unit with a standard AC line power cord; instead, it receives power, audio signals, and system control logic through a dedicated multi-pin ribbon interconnect connected directly to the system's matching receiver/amplifier unit (e.g., STR-Y6766 or STR-Y6735).
System Component Cross-References:
- Main Receiver / Amplifier: Sony STR-D209 (Also STR-Y6766 / STR-Y6735)
- Stereo Graphic Equalizer: Sony SEQ-D209
- Automatic Stereo Turntable: Sony PS-LX56
- Loudspeaker System: Sony SS-D209
