Sony Discman D-303 ist ein portabler CD-Player für Akku/Batteriebetrieb oder Speisung aus externem Netzgerät. Neben einem regelbaren Kopfhörer-Ausgang ist ein analoger Line-Ausgang und ein optisch digitaler Ausgang nach TOS-Link Format vorhanden.
Der optische Digitalausgang ist nur bei externer Stromversorgung verfügbar, dann ist auch das Display beleuchtet.
