This is two-head, four-track, one-motor three-speed (4.7-9.5-19 cm/s or 1 7/8-3 3/4-7 1/2 ips) recorder. Features sound-on-sound, mono and stereo recording and playback. It has its own 5-watt per channel stereo amplifier; four speakers: the tweeters are mounted in the lids of the case and are dettachable; the bass drivers are in the main chassis. The four knobs at the right are: Separate bass and treble controls, balance and volume. The face plate is aluminium, the case is wood lined with black vinyl. On the lower front there is a sliding cover to hid the recording buttons (one for each channel) and the microphone inputs. On the upper part, there is also a cover that hids the mains cord, the input and output jacks (to use as a deck with a separate amp) and the voltage selector (100-110-117-200-220-240). Some versions also have additional mains supply to connect other components. A handle at the center makes it portable, although its 19 Kg with lids on make it rather heavy. For switching between 50 Hz and &0 Hz, the main pulley must be changed; this is an easy task that requires to unscrew three bolts and withdraw the heads cover, the speed selector, the playback lever and the pause button. With the cover removed, the pulley is easily accessed and can be unscrewed from the shaft.
