Three‑head, single‑well cassette deck introduced by Sony in the early 1990s. The TC‑K611S employs a 3‑motor transport with single‑capstan drive and a separate erase head. Recording and playback are handled by a unified 3‑head assembly, enabling real‑time monitoring.
Equipped with Dolby B, C, and Dolby S noise‑reduction systems, plus HX Pro headroom extension for improved high‑frequency recording. Automatic tape‑type selection supports Type I, II, and IV cassettes.
Frequency response extends to 20–20,000 Hz with metal tape. Wow and flutter is specified at 0.05% WRMS. Signal‑to‑noise ratio reaches 85 dB with Dolby S engaged.
