Using the unit outside of Japan
Radio frequency range can be changed when you use this unit outside of Japan.
1. Remove the rechargeable battery, the lithium battery, and the battery in the battery case, and keep them out about a minute.
2. In the U.S.A. and Canada
- While pressing the SCAN + button, insert the rechargeable battery or the battery. The frequency range will change to FM: 87.5-108 MHz/AM: 530-1,670 kHz.
In other countries
- While pressing the SCAN - button, insert the rechargeable battery or the battery. The FM frequency range will change to 87.5-108 MHz. The AM frequency range, however, will not change.
3. Insert the lithium battery and then insert the battery or the rechargeable battery.
To return to the Japanese frequency range
1. Remove the rechargeable battery, the lithium battery, and the battery in the battery case, and keep them out about an hour.
2. Insert the lithium battery first, then the rechargeable battery, then insert the battery in the battery case.
