STC 5-valve receiver featuring a lift-up lid.
Its cabinet was manufactured by Ricketts and Thorpe Ltd. under registered design number 9137 and is identified as cabinet number 318. The unit is equipped with an 8-inch Magnavox speaker and is uniquely branded with the "STC" logo cast into the escutcheon, which also holds an enameled badge with the name "Standard" in a script consistent with the company's 1931 advertising.
Based on its technical specifications, this model is possibly a version of the STC 413 housed in an alternative cabinet.
