- The Tektronix Type 4S2 Dual Trace Sampling Unit is a vertical channel plug-in unit for the Type 661 Oscilloscope. It has a risetime of 0.1 nanosecond or less. It is capable of presenting accurate single or dual-trace displays of repetitive high-speed signals with fractional nano-second risetimes. By taking successive samples of a repetitive signal, each sample at a slightly later time with respect to the previous sample, the system reconstructs the signal on a relatively long time base.
