  • Notes
  • The Type 3T77 Sampling-Sweep Plug-in Unit is designed for use in all Tektronix 560-series oscilloscopes except the models 560 and 565. It is equipped to drive a digital unit in the 567 Readout Oscilloscope. The unit is capable of variable sweep rates in fifteen steps form 0.2nsec/div to 10microsec/div. The sweep rate at any given setting of the TIME/DIV switch can be increased by about 3 times with the VARIABLE control. While still making extensive use of vacuum tubes, the Model 3T77 also incorporates advanced (for its time) tunnel diode switching in several circuits in the plug-in unit. The Nuvistor, while nominally an RCA 7586, is a specially aged tube, designated Tek part number 157-0080-00, used as a ramp-current generator in the "fast-ramp" circuit of the unit.
