Both were identical in dimensions and in circuitry with 4 transistors (convertor, 1st IF, 2nd IF, output) - although named '5' TR there is not a fifth transistor. Date of manufacture is coded into a Toshiba's radio serial number. The 1st digit is the final digit of year of manufacture. The 2nd and 3rd digits are the month of manufacture. The 5 remaining digits are the base serial number. |
