from Radiomuseum.org | Model: Marconi 2005 - Toshiba Corporation; Tokyo |
Material | Leather / canvas / plastic - over other material |
Shape | Portable set > 8 inch (also usable without mains) |
Notes | Almost identical to Toshiba 8TL-463-S. The Canadian Marconi Company (CMC), thanks to an agreement stipulated in 1954 with the Emerson Radio Export Corporation of New York, acquired the right to use the Emerson licences to produce and to sell in Canada receivers with the brand Emerson. I didn't find trace of any agreement between CMC and Toshiba probably because Marconi/Toshiba sets were produced directly in Japan. |
