  • This mono radio was available as option U69 for the 1973 Corvette at cost of $173.00.

    Of the 30,464 1973 Corvettes produced, 12,482 chose the stereo version while 17,596 chose the mono.

    This 1973 radio was the first Corvette radio to use an integrated IC, the DM 11 as FM IF amplifier & discriminator.

    The audio output transistor, type DS501 was mounted on an external heatsink under the dash. The stereo version used two transistors mounted on an external heatsink.

    The mono audio output drove both dash speakers in parallel.
