  • This is a United Wireless Telegraph (UWT) Co. (1906-1912) 2KW Variable Reactance for use in a spark transmitter used in wireless telegraphy. It is placed in series with the primary of the spark transformer and is adjusted to maximize spark and minimize arcing which reduces power to the Leyden Jar condensers and antenna.
