    Printed circuit, made in USA, white leather case made by Merzon Leather NY., takes Eveready 246 or Eveready 1051 big block 9 V battery, the label "Satellite" was visible inside the battery cover only.
    Compare with most similar models listed under Jewel All Transistor Ch= D6-8.
    Note: The 1st satellite called "Sputnik" was launched by the Soviets on Oct. 4th 1957, the first US satellite "Explorer" was launched on Feb. 1st. 1958. This was perhaps the inspiration for the name.
