    On the top side, the scale, with a slide band selector next to it; six recorder function keys, including eject; the built-in microphone, two slide controls for volume and tone, a radio on/off switch and four sockets, two for an external microphone, one aux and one for headphones. On the front side, the cassette compartment, the three-digit rev counter with reset button and the metal tuning knob. On the back side, the socket for the mains power supply, with reduced step. Access to the battery compartment is on the lower side.

    Telescopic antenna with 6 sections, 69 cm, completely retractable into the device. Ferrite antenna 14 cm. Speaker 8 Ω, Japan, and selector, accessible only from the inside, for changing the voltage. Integrated circuit Sanyo (L)A1201. 
    Metal handle, rigid, partially covered (leather?), with full excursion.

    Dimensions including the protrusions and weighing without the batteries.
