Mit dem digitalen Taster TKL-515 lassen sich logische Zustände in TTL-, CMOS- und verwandten Schaltungen anhand einer quasi-oszillokopischen Anzeige einfach feststellen. Bei dynamischen Vorgängen ist über die Verweildauer bei dem jeweiligen Logikzustand das Tastverhältnis abschätzbar. Einzelne Impulse werden nach Einschalten eines Impulsspeichers (MEM) bis zum Zurückschalten festgehalten. Das Handgerät hat eine Schutzschaltung gegen verpolte Spannung und Überspannung.
