  • This radio is a "Badge Engineered" version of the AWA 117PY made for distribution through EMAIL (EMMCO). There are no markings within the radio to indicate the manufacturer but metalwork and both components and component layout are identical to the AWA, even down to the fonts used and the placement of the Model Numbers and Serial Numbers.

    The 117PY was a variation of the second Transistor Radio model produced by AWA and it, and this radio, use "Point to Point" wiring from tag-strips on a metal chassis. 

    Weight is without battery.
