  • Notes
  • MVT-7100 is a handheld with full frequency range 530kHz to 1650MHz. The long wave band can be selected but the sensibility is very poor. It has a telescopic antenna with a BNC connector left at the top. Further at the top: squelch-control, on/off+volume-control and dial. A variety of signal modes can be demodulated: WFM,NFM,AM,LSB,USB. Twelve dial-frequency-steps can be selected from 50Hz to 100kHz. The band-width is not narrow. The MVT-7200 included a 2,4kHz narrowband filter. There are 1000 frequency-memories in 10 memory-banks, and 10 programmable frequency ranges to search; scanning/searching speed is about 30 channels per second. There are at the right connectors for earphone and for a car-battery or a nicad-charger, and at the left push-buttons for squelch-off and back-light on, a keylock-switch and a reset-hole. At the front is the numeric and functions-keyboard. Powered by 4 internal 1,2 volts Nicad AA-cels or 1,5 volts dry batteries. No car-battery connecting is permitted if no rechargable batteries are in use. Stabo sold the MVT-7100 under their brand as XR-100.
