Omegatron mass-spectrometer tube. Electrons emitted by the tungsten cathode and attracted by the collector traverses the electrode structure, where ionise molecules of the gas to be analysed. Under the combined effect of electrical fields and of a superimposed magnetic field, some ions travel to the ion collector electrode, causing a current flow.
Similar to the 56006, with different electrode structure. 16-pin special base, with ion collector output from the middle.
