Name: Saira, Buenos Aires    (RA)
Abbreviation: saira
Products: Tube manufacturer
Summary:

This is the first argentine manufacturer of vacuum tubes. Complete name is: Sociedad Anónima Industrial Radiotelefónica Argentina but the tube boxes and advertisement depict it as SAIRA. Exact address is not known but they were located in Buenos Aires in the Villa Urquiza area.

Although founded in 1931, it was only two years later that they could start the production of the following tube types: 43, 47, 57, 58, 77, 78, 80 and 2A5. Production ended in 1944 and although the reasons are not clear, it was probably due to the reduced number of types, the impossibility to adapt production line to newer tubes and the economy crisis of WWII.

Founded: 1931
Closed: 1944
Production: 1933 - 1944
History:

This manufacturer was suggested by Mario Bermejo.
