A wide range of radio tubes were made for CGE by the Radio Valve Company Ltd from 1927 and well beyond World War Two. Some just carried the CGE brand and some with "Made in Canada for CGE".

1892 - 1900 Canadian General Electric Company Limited becomes incorporated in Canada through a merger of Edison Light Electric Company and Thomson-Houston Electric Light Company of Canada. Manufacturing facilities in Peterborough, Ontario are already in operation.
