NTP was established in 1958 by Niels Tønnes Pedersen a young graduate engineer who started a consultative engineering firm. The company was later established as a limited company and went in the market with own developed remote control equipment, later professional audio equipment like light spot meters (PPM) and the company increased the revenue and the export sales. As the business grew more products came like analogue audio routers and latest high quality digital TDM based audio routers and control software for audio and video routers and interface control to main systems within radio and Television broadcast stations. The company has been through several changes in ownership and was by mid December 2003 taken over by Dan Technologies A/S, one of the larger suppliers in the Nordic region of professional video, audio and system solutions for radio and Television stations as well as production and post production companies.
