Originally a maker of lighting systems, subsidiary of the Benjamin Electric Mfg. Co.

"Clearer Tone Valve Holder" and other components (Wireless World, Nov. 3rd,1926).
Shortpath Valves made by Metrovick stamped Benjamin sold as "Benjamin Shortpath".

Benjamin manufactured a series of Magnavox loudspeakers from ca. 1932/33 onwards, under license of Magnavox (USA).

History:

The parent company in Chicago was established 1898. The British subsidiary became a private company in 1908.

In 1937, the Magnavox (Great Britain) Ltd. was formally wound up and the Magnavox patents aquired by Benjamin Electric.

They still existed in 1961 as a manufactuer of industrial and commercial lighting systems.

This manufacturer was suggested by Manfred Rathgeb.
