Francois Rumold Philippe D'Hulst (born in 1897 in Lier) founded his company in the beginning of the 1920's, but his business was not officially registered before 1927. His major activity was the construction of radios (up till 1935), mainly in console form.

In 1928 he was involved in the foundation of Radio Seca.

Francois D'Hulst died in 1958 in Ekeren (near Antwerp).
