J Wiseman & Sons Ltd. started a saddlery factory in 1862. In 1927 the company started the manufacture of radio receivers. They advertised under the name “Courier” with a slogan “Brings Tidings from afar”. Radio production ceased in 1930 four reasons unknown; however the firm remains in business today.
