Sovtek Sovtek ist ein russischer Hersteller von Elektronenröhren und Röhrenverstärkern für elektrische Musikinstrumente. Sovtek gehört seit den 1990er Jahren als Marke zum amerikanischen Unternehmen New Sensor Corporation. Die Fertigungsstätten von Sovtek in Saratow werden von New Sensor ebenfalls genutzt, um Röhren der Marke Electro-Harmonix herzustellen. Sovtek acquired the trade name GENALEX when the trade mark was allowed to lapse by GEC in the UK. It is used on audio tubes made by the company, with Genalex "Gold Lion" branding. Sovtek was founded to sell audio/musical devices Sovtek and EHX (Electro-Harmonix) brands, audio tubes from Saratov Receiver/Amplifier Tube Factory "Reflektor", what went into bankrupcy around 1998 and part of company was bought by Sovtek cofounder, American enterpreneur Mike Matthews (former promoter of Jimi Hendrix), owner of New Sensor Corporation and founded company Ekspopul, producing tubes till today for Russian Army, Sovtek and aprox. 2/3 of the world market. |
