The company was started by J.F. Houston and Arthur W. Hutchins in June 1927.[2]
In August 1927 Hutchins left the company and the business continued as Classic Radio Co.[3]
In December 1927 the company was granted “The Classic Radio” trademark.[4]
​They advertised radios for sale in October 1931 from 5 Royal Arcade in Sydney.[5]
