Sheffield Radio advertised Crosley radios for sale from the family home in Marston Street, Parnell in 1931.[1] Sheffield Radio Ltd., radio dealers were registered in July 1936 by A. M. Sheffield and Mrs. Ruth Sheffield.[2] According to the late John Stokes in More Golden Age of Radio they manufactured radio chassis and radios for various radio dealers throughout New Zealand under the Sheffield, Atomic, Chappel, Golden Bell and Silvertone brands.[3] [1] Auckland Star, Sep 19, 1931, Page 8. |
