The company is registered with the Directorate of Industries, Government of Tamilnadu, as Small Scale Unit with license no. 180406531. They were converted into a Public Limited Company on 12th December 1995 with the Registrar of Companies, Tamilnadu at Coimbatore and obtained a new Certificate of Incorporation.

History:

The UMS Radio factory was started in 1941 by Shri G.D. Naidu.

Initially the company had a technical collaboration with Grundig in Germany. Subsequently in the year 1970, when the firm was taken over by U.M.S. Radio Factory Private Limited the collaboration was not renewed.

Spurred by the explosive growth in demand for Television and Television accessories in the 1980's, the company switched to the manufacture of TV antennae and aerial amplifiers in 1986. With the advent of satellite transmission and satellite channels, they started manufacturing dish antennae.

In 2005, the name was changed to UMS Technologies Ltd.

As of 2021, the company has two manufacturing units, one located at Plot No. 1045-46, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore 641 018, measuring 38,000 square feet. The factory has a built up area of 24,000 sqft. For the manufacture of television accessories the company has rented an enclosure with AC sheet roofing measuring 25,000 sqft at 316, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore 641 018.

They currently manufacture a wide array of telecommunication and TV accessories, such as antennea, aerial amplifiers and voltage stabilizers.
