Ledex is a manufacturer of motorized solenoids, electric switches, and other electrical products.

In the 1960s they also produced silicon and selenium rectifiers.

History:

George Harold Leland founded the G.H. Leland, Inc. some time around 1945. The trade name Ledex was applied for on 1 Dec. 1947 and registered 14 Dec. 1948, with a date of first use of 11 Oct 1945.[3]

The company renamed to Ledex, Inc. in 1960.

Leland also founded The Leland Electric Co. in 1921, a company that made electric motors. It was acquired by the American Machine and Foundry Co. on Feb 13, 1952.[1] Another company was the G.H. Leland Development Engineering Co., active between 1941 and 1947. It was still listed as a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers in 1957.[2]

G.H. Leland died in 1969 at the age of 81.
