I am restoring one of these AP185 back to original.  There seems to be different positions for the Treble Cleft Emerson logo.  The black and white photo shows it between knobs.  Modern color photos show it above the dial scale.

I suspect restorers placed a new decal in the wrong position.

Also do the knobs originally have function decals between the red pin strip lines?

I would appreciate if some one has original advertising materials or brochures could verify proper decal positions and labels.

You can see my project radio at this link.

Thank you,

Paul

Hello Paul,

I don't have original documents however I have been watching the web and I have found five different AP185 sets. ALL they with the scutcheon above the dial scale. Perhaps the model changed the style after initial design.

Greetings, Bruno.

Bruno,

Thank you for following up on this post.  The more I think about it and look at different pictures of actual radios the more I agree with your observation.  The logo between the knobs would look cramped.  Others feel the knob function labels would be proper for the time period.

I ordered all the decals today from Radio Daze.  It takes three decal sheets to complete the lettering and the logo.

Thanks again for the follow up,

Paul.
