I have permission from an eBay seller to use photos of a 1925 Grebe Syncrophase MU1.  He lists it as being an early version that did not have the chain that ganged the knobs together.  Is there such a thing or is this set just missing some parts?

The first version of MU1 appeared in September 1924.

In August 1925 the tuning dials were coupled by chains. Thus one dial can operate all three - or they can be set separately at will. US Patent 1,608,734.

Since there are no pulleys on top of the tuning dials, the set must be the early version before Aug.1925.

Thank you, Konrad!

I must get copies of the Alan Douglas books sometime soon.

I will add this as a 1924 model because the listings show 2 for 1925 and 1 for 1930.

But  picture 1 is not the 1924 model as it is showing both, the chains and the master control release nut.
