I have one of these radios and the cabinet is not of bakelite or wood, but metal. I think it must be cast aluminium.

Based on latest user manual of production from end of 1958, beginning 1959, this model was produced in 3 different case variants: bakelit, wooden and silumin, what is aluminium alloy partially with silicon.
