I have bought a Olympia-koffer from Braun. It's the same radio as described above. Was NORA a part of the Braun company ("overtaken" by Braun during the NAZI regime)? The lid of the radio with the antenne is covered with "cloth". The case however is painted in the same army green color. Was this done original or maybe a later time? with greetings Bert Pool, Amsterdam Holland

The "DOK 37" = Deutscher Olympia-Koffer 37 was a common model intended to be made by several Manufacturers. Like the Volksempfänger it was promoted anonymously as a common product. Notwithstanding that the individual maker could and did place the name on it.

Here an excerpt from a 1937/38 catalog

As You see it is a "Gemeinschaftsgerät". This should explain similarities between different manufacturers of that model.
